# Berry Angular v5.0.0: Angular 22 support

This release focuses on delivering a faster, cleaner, and more maintainable development experience while keeping the template aligned with the latest Angular best practices.

## Why have we done this update?

Angular 22 introduces modern approaches to application development, and the Berry Angular dashboard template has been updated to fully embrace these changes.

### Signals-powered components

Berry Angular version now uses Angular’s (https://angular.dev/guide/signals) API, making state management simpler and component updates more efficient.

### Better performance with OnPush

Components have been optimized with the (https://angular.dev/best-practices/skipping-subtrees) strategy, ensuring only necessary UI updates are triggered for improved performance.

### TypeScript 6 support
